GAN ADVANCED OSSEOINTEGRATION CENTER (GAOC) – S Maison, Conrad Hotel Manila: The Long Wait is Over, It’s GAOC’s Dental Visit Once Again!

“It’s Not Just a Smile, It’s a Statement!”

Hey guys! Hope all is well.

It’s GAOC visit once again!

Of course, I’ll be sharing my recent visit and the over-all dental experience I had during my series of visit to GAOC (GAN ADVANCED OSSEOINTEGRATION CENTER) for my regular dental treatment.

This time around, I was informed that my next treatment will be done in GAOC Conrad Branch which is actually my third time to visit. The first one was last February for my Professional Whitening Treatment Procedure and the next one was the Grand Opening celebration last April.

As we all know, GAOC’s branch in S Maison in the posh Conrad Manila (situated in the vibrant SM MOA Complex in Pasay City) is one of the newest GAOC clinics that opened late last year to provide comprehensive dental services such as dental implants, oral diagnostics, cosmetic dentistry and general dentistry for its increasing number of loyal clients and roster of clientele consisting mostly of society figures, business professionals, foreign expats and uptown residents. But hey, they are open to anyone! You can book an appointment anytime at any GAOC Branch near you!

The newest branch is the latest breakthrough to their growing number of clinics in the country known for its state-of-the-art equipment, facility and technology that is comparable to contemporary clinics in the US and Europe.

At the helm of the operations is the founder and CEO Dr. Steve Mark Gan, a famous dental surgeon popularly known as the “dentist of the stars”. Dr. Gan also carries outstanding accomplishments recognized locally and internationally. GAOC is also represented by the dynamic group of competent and well-experienced resident dentists honed continuously through rigorous trainings locally and internationally like the US, Germany, Hong Kong and Singapore.

One of the excellent business practices they uphold is the maintenance of each client record which keeps track of their treatment needs and procedures and the next appointment schedule. Not only that, they will also find the best schedule that is convenient and fit to clients availability (They even reach out to you via SMS or call whenever there are changes in the schedule). When I got a call from one of their Front Desk Officers for my scheduled appointment for treatment, we easily managed the perfect time and date for my availability when I’ll be visiting the clinic.

The moment I set foot inside the clinic, you’ll be welcome by the courteous and well-trained Front Desk Officers at the reception area accommodating the needs and concerns of their clients who are waiting for their turn. Thanks Hanah, Princess and Eunice!

The clinic’s ambience is immaculate and upbeat yet very cozy and relaxing – a kind of atmosphere that manifests modern lifestyle, elegance and classy with its subdued interiors. Personally, I normally compares GAOC’s reception area to a posh hotel or spa. As always, complimentary hot and cold drinks and wide collection of magazines of different interest are made available to keep the waiting clients entertained. You will be pampered for sure with its variety of cold and hot drinks offering which is like you are inside a café or a coffee shop. They have Coffee Menu (Café Americano, Caffe Latte, Macchiato, Capuccino, Espresso, and Decaf), Cup of Tea (Pure Green Tea, Jasmine Green Tea, Early Grey, English Breakfast, and Pure Pepperment), Refreshments (Iced Tea, Lemonade, Pink Lemonade, Orange Juice, Mango Juice, Soda in Can and Bottled Water), Iced Cappuccino and Iced Mocha (with add-on: Vanilla Syrup, Caramel Syrup and Chocolate Syrum). Amazing indeed especially if you are a lover of coffee and refreshments!

I am normally requesting to book an appointment in the afternoon because it’s relaxing and laid-back time. When I was informed that the dentist is already inside the treatment room, I immediately went inside the room then went straight to the dental chair to begin the treatment. As always, the treatment room brings on advanced and world-class clinic atmosphere equipped with modern dental chair, auxiliary equipment, computer system to analyze the patient’s oral health and plasma television set to show the procedure the patient is about to undergo.

Before the start of the treatment, the staff asked me what movie/s I want to watch (This is actually one of the reasons why I always love visiting any GAOC clinics as I get to to watch the latest and my all-time favorite movies available in the list. haha. They have the latest and timeless/classic movies collection where you can choose depending on your mood). This time around, I decided to watch a feel good-movie to make it more relaxing and fostering some cool vibes while undergoing the treatment.  While waiting and (at the same time) resting, they let me used a freshly-scent and very comforting blanket (the room is a bit colder actually) and even converted the entire room into a dim light which is like I’m in a business flight of a premiere airline. That’s actually an awesome experience where I had a quick yet quality nap.

For my first visit, it was handled and supervised by Dr. Grace Villalon, a very charming and attentive resident dentist (of course, very pretty too!) whom I met previously in Greenbelt Residences branch. She informed me beforehand that I’ll be undergoing series of treatments for Scaling, Removal of Silver Filling and Restoration of two upper molars. During the entire treatment procedure, she asked me to wear a dental goggles for eye protection while undergoing the treatment. Dr. Grace advised me though that I have to go back after two weeks for the follow-up treatment.

With Dr. Grace Villalon. Thanks again Dr. Grace!

Teeth Scaling basically involves routine cleaning to remove plaque and tartar which is often referred to as deep cleaning. This is somehow ideal to my case as I’ve been eating a lot and I drink coffee every day.

Before the Removal of my Silver Filling, Dr. Grace carefully evaluated the condition of my teeth as reflected on the chart (my dental x-ray). Fillings help restore teeth damaged by decay back to their normal function.

Restoration (also known as dental filling) pertains to the treatment of the missing tooth structure and retain a core in the tooth.

On my next visit, this time it was the turn of Dr. Emerson Amurao who handled my follow-up treatment which consist mainly of Oral Prophylaxis, a general procedure for teeth cleaning to remove build-up of plaque (food debris) and calcular (tartar) deposits. I’ve met the soft-spoken and passionate Dr. Emerson during the grand opening of the clinic last April.

A regular visit to GAOC is a must-try habit for my dental hygiene and healthy lifestyle. Remember that taking good care of your mouth, teeth and gums can actually mirror your over-all health and it may prevent certain diseases as well.

Oh Before I forget, you can download the GAOC Dental App on your phone to book an appointment to make it more easier and convenient!

By the way, if you book an appointment in the afternoon, make sure to catch the sunset in the iconic Manila Bay. The S Maison location provides a panoramic view of its stunning sunset especially if the weather is fine (I’ve been doing that whenever I visit the clinic in Conrad branch. Haha).

Thanks again Dr. Grace, Dr. Emerson, GAOC Family and Dr Steve Mark Gan!
